This Poem titled – Waiting – is based on waiting on the Lord (Isaiah 40:31) for His perfect timing. Using the examples of great men like Elijah, Noah, Moses, Abraham, etc. and ultimately our perfect example, Jesus; this poem reminds us that our God is worth waiting for. I hope this poem I wrote blesses you and your family!

WORDS OF THE POEM:
Are you waiting to cross the Red Sea
Where there’s nothing you can do,
The waves are thunderous and scary
And there’s no other way but through?
Remember Noah who built the ark,
While he waited for the rain to start?
It took 100 years or more
But God said, “Keep building, I'll make it pour.”
Are you waiting like Abraham
For a son you’ve longed for?
God answered, then tested the old man,
"Will you give up the child you adore?"
Are you being accused for a crime you didn’t commit?
Just wait for the right time, He will surely uplift.
Trust in the Lord, do nothing in haste,
Like Joseph be faithful wherever you are placed.
Remember David, Job, and Elijah too?
They believed that God would see them through.
What God had in store they could never have guessed,
They waited and He gave them the very best.
And what about Jesus, God’s beloved Son,
Who came down to die for everyone?
He trusted the Father for His perfect time
In Him all the promises of God are mine.
So let me wait with patience, on Jesus who died for me
Until the night is over, in Him my hope shall be.
I will walk, I will run, on eagles’ wings I will soar
Yes, my God is worth waiting for.
"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:31
