Abraham left behind everything he knew Hosea didn’t know what God was calling him to. Moses had the courage to face the past Noah was ‘all in’ no matter what the cost. Nehemiah acted when he heard Jerusalem was in ruins Daniel and his friends refused to give in. Barnabas stood up for Paul, risking his reputation David was fearless in any situation. John the Baptist rebuked Herod’s behavior John Mark had the courage to overcome failure. Joseph chose to do the right thing Esther risked her life to approach the King. Joshua stepped up to lead his people Deborah charged Barak, accompanying him to battle. All these great men and women Had one thing in common, No, it wasn’t spunk, wisdom, or pride All they had was God on their side. Ordinary people with fears of their own Suddenly agreed to scale the unknown. With God they did extraordinary things Yes, He became the wind beneath their wings. Lord, I wish I had this courage inside of me The courage to speak boldly for Thee. I was created for so much more than to live my life as a boring chore, To live from a place of trust instead of fear. Then I heard it, that small whisper, “Take courage, dear heart… It’s not too late to start...”

Beautiful
Without God we would be nothing but fearful, uncertain, clueless before life and its challenges!
I can indeed do all things through Christ Jesus! In my weakness He is my strength indeed.
Thanks Shiphrah for reminding me of this truth through your poem.
God bless
It gives wonderful hope. HE ALONE IS OUR HOPE in all times! Thank you Ships for sharing.
What a beautiful poem. Especially the lines:
“All these great men and women
Had one thing in common,
No, it wasn’t spunk, wisdom, or pride
All they had was God on their side.”
